When I decided to make a colourful pizza, I thought about making pizza with one colour at a time, Then I was thinking to maybe make 2 pieces of dough with different colours and place them together. But then it hit me - why not mixing many colours in to the kneeing process and make it look like a marble pizza?
This pizza is going to knock your family or friends off their feet!
and it is so easy to make as an appetiser or light party food.
So pick your favourite superfood from the list in the full guide of "COLOURING YOUR FOOD WITH SUPERFOODS" and lets begin!
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE PIZZA CRUST:
1 cup gluten-free flour
1 tsp psyllium husk
1/2 tsp Himalayan salt (or any other high quality salt)
1 tsp yeast
1/2 tsp date honey (or any other sweetener honey/ quality maple)
3/4 cup warm water
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp D.selina powder
1/2 tsp Pink Pitaya Powder
1/2 tsp butterfly pea flower powder
FOR THE TOPPINGS:
few Recula leaves
few Basil leaves
few purple spinach leaves (or green if you can’t find)
colourful Tomato cherries, sliced
Shaved Daikon and reddish
Feta crumbles - can substitute with vegan cheese crumble (you can also add small ricotta balls or another vegan cheese that you like for the vegan substitute)
edible Flowers for decoration (optional)
WET OPTIONS | THE SAUCE -
White Pizza - squeezed lime or olive oil drizzle on top, you can add more kinds of cheese that you like
Red Pizza - spread lightly before adding the toppings high quality tomato sauce or tapenade
Green Pizza - spread lightly before adding the toppings home made or high quality pesto sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the flour, psyllium husk and the salt in a mixing bowl and make a well in the centre.
Add the yeast, date honey and the warm water into the well and wait for 5 minutes.
start to Knead the dough on a lightly floured board and add the superfood powders slowly. Knead for about 10 minutes.
Pour 1/2 tsp of olive oil in a mixing bowl, place the dough in the bowl and pour the rest of the olive oil on top.
Roll the pizza dough on baking paper on a baking tray and bake it at 180 Degrees Celsius for about 8 minutes. -If you are making red or green pizza you can spread lightly the sauce before baking or after.
immediately top the pizza with the topping ingredients.
serve hot.
